Building a rock solid stock portfolio is not a simple task, but you can certainly do it if you have the time and dedication to do so. All you need to do is use a few simple methods to quickly decide if a stock is worth your time or not so you can move on to the next one. This allows you to find the best stocks to put in your portfolio.

Today I am going to go over a few simple techniques you can utilize to build a rock solid stock portfolio that will make you great money for years to come.

The trick is getting the right information when you need it. Thankfully using the internet to do your stock research makes this a thousand times easier than if you had to do it on your own.

Be careful not to do too much research at different websites, you will only end up confusing yourself. Choose a few websites that have all the information you need and stick with them. You need to be as efficient as possible here.

Once you have decided where you plan to do your research and gather your information you are ready to get started.

Don’t stress out over your stocks, just make sure you create a solid plan and always stick with it. Also, don’t glue yourself in front of a stock ticker all day. That will do nothing but cause you anxiety. Stocks will always fluctuate so just make sure you are in it for the long term and you will do great.

Don’t buy too many stocks in one sector of the market. Diversification is key if you want the best stocks in your investment portfolio.

This way when one part of the market is in a slump you can still make money on your other stock investments. You certainly want to avoid having all your eggs in one basket.

Make sure not to ever have more than 10% of your portfolio in any one stock. Doing so is leaving yourself open to major risk.
